About Our Company

The legal name of our company is In the Game, Inc. We manufacture NHL-licensed hockey trading cards under the trade name of In The Game. In The Game has produced hockey cards since the 1998-99 season.

For many years, we also issued dozens of hockey card sets under the Be A Player and Parkhurst names. Some of our more popular brands included Signature Series, Memorabilia Series, and Between The Pipes. These products were licensed by both the NHL and the NHLPA.

After we manufactured these cards for six seasons, the NHLPA opted to revoke our license. Without an NHLPA license, we could no longer produce hockey cards featuring active NHL players.

Matters were complicated by a lockout, a labor dispute between the NHL and the NHLPA which resulted in the cancellation of the NHL 2004-05 season.

Undaunted, we continue to create the finest hockey cards in the hobby. Our first release in 2004-05 is entitled Heroes & Prospects and it featured a combination of top prospects from the American Hockey League, the Canadian Hockey League, as well as a number of retired hockey legends.

Heroes & Prospects was released in November, 2004 and consists of a 180-card base set. The product is enhanced with the usual spectacular array of Game-Used Memorabilia cards and Autograph cards. A 50-card Update version of Heroes & Prospects is slated for release in February 2005.

Our next project was entitled 2004-05 NHL Franchises. This brand was released in three stages including a Canadian Edition in February, 2005 followed by a U.S. East Edition and a U.S. West Edition.

This NHL-licensed product is focused on retired NHL greats from many of the league's most storied franchises. Each version will consist of a 150-card base set making a master set complete at 450 cards. As is our tradition, this brand will offer collectors an outstanding selection of Autograph cards and Game-Used Memorabilia cards.

That brings us to our most daring and innovative brand - Ultimate Memorabilia! It has emerged as one of the most popular products in the entire hobby over the past four seasons. The Fifth Edition of Ultimate Memorabilia is scheduled for release late May 2005.

If there is one aspect of our products that stands out in particular, it is our ability to create innovative and spectacular memorabilia cards.

Throughout the years, we have utilized game-worn memorabilia from the finest hockey players in the world, both past and present. Notice we emphasize the term "game-worn." None of our cards feature pieces of memorabilia from mere "photo shoots."

Our memorabilia cards are issued in extremely limited quantities to ensure long-term collectibility. The vast majority of these cards from the past four years have a stated production total of 100 or less.

If you are a hockey historian, you will be very impressed with all the cards we have created honoring hockey's rich heritage. Players such as Maurice Richard, Patrick Roy, Mario Lemieux, Jacques Plante, Terry Sawchuk, Phil Esposito, Guy Lafleur, Raymond Bourque, Marcel Dionne, Bobby Hull and even Georges Vezina have been incorporated in many of our brands.
