Print runs for the 500-Goal Scorers insert set revealed

The 28-card insert set features an image from every player in NHL history to have scored at least 500 career goals along with a piece of game-worn jersey from that player. Top names in the set include Gordie Howe, Mario Lemieux, Maurice Richard, Bobby Hull, Phil Esposito, and Wayne Gretzky.

Production totals for each card are as follows:
99 cards - Luc Robitaille, Jari Kurri, Dave Andreychuk, Brett Hull, Johnny Bucyk, Michel Goulet, Dino Ciccarelli, Steve Yzerman, Mark Messier, Bryan Trottier, Dale Hawerchuk, Gilbert Perreault, Mike Gartner, Joe Mullen, Lanny McDonald, Pat Verbeek.
50 cards - Mike Bossy, Marcel Dionne, Guy Lafleur
40 cards - Phil Esposito, Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, Frank Mahovlich
20 cards - Wayne Gretzky, Gordie Howe, Mario Lemieux, Maurice Richard, Jean Beliveau

These inserts are seeded at a 1:269 pack ratio.

The Be A Player Memorabilia Series was released on August 22, 2001. In addition to the 300-card base set, the product features 14 different insert sets, all of which are memorabilia cards sporting pieces of game-used jerseys and equipment. One of these memorabilia cards is included in each sealed box. The stated production run for all the memorabilia cards is no greater than 100 and many have been produced in substantially lower quantities.

In the Game, Inc. has produced the Be A Player brands of hockey trading cards since 1998-99 including the Memorabilia Series, the Signature Series, and the Ultimate Memorabilia Series. The company will be issuing six different brands of cards for 2000-01. In addition to the three above-mentioned products, they will also produce an Update Series, the Parkhurst series, and a new set focusing entirely on goalies entitled Between the Pipes.
