BE A PLAYER RETURNS TO SPORTSFEST WITH ANOTHER IMPRESSIVE REDEMPTION CARD PROGRAM

(Toronto, ON; May 22, 2002): In the Game, Inc., the manufacturers of Be A Player and Parkhurst brands of hockey cards, is pleased to announce it will be participating as an exhibitor at one of the key hobby events of the year, Sportsfest 2002 (presented by Krause Publications) from June 13-16 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. The company will also be offering another version of their popular redemption card program at the show.

As in the past, the basic concept remains unchanged. Collectors are asked to purchase various Be A Player products from dealers on the show floor. Then they can open them at the Be A Player booth and exchange their wrappers for extremely limited foil-stamped versions of 2001-02 Be A Player cards (numbered to 10).There are even some special one-of-ones mixed in! These cards are dispensed randomly and will only be available at this show.

The cards that participants receive in exchange for the wrappers will vary each day of the show. On Thursday and Friday, June 13-14, Be A Player will offer a special Sapphire parallel version of their 300-card base set from the 2001-02 Memorabilia Series. These cards will feature a unique foil stamp commemorating the show and will be numbered to 10. Mixed among these cards will be special one-of-one Emerald versions.

On Saturday, June 15, Be A Player redemption cards will come from Be A Player's Parkhurst set. The 300-card base set will be available with the special foil stamping and sequential numbering to 10. Mixed among these will be special one-of-one Gold and Silver parallel versions of the first 100 cards in the set.

Sunday's redemption cards will come from two different sets: both the 150-card Between the Pipes base set and the 225-card Signature Series base set. Again, each will feature commemorative stamping and will be numbered to 10. Adding to the excitement will be the inclusion of "The Mask" insert cards within Sunday's redemption program. There are 30 different cards in the set and each will be sequentially numbered to 10.

"We're always happy to return to the Chicago area," explained Dr. Brian Price, President of In the Game, "because it is one of the most exciting markets in this hobby. The people at Krause do an admirable job organizing and promoting the annual Sportsfest show. I believe our participation in the event and our redemption card program will enhance the collecting experience for all those who attend."

The Be A Player products that collectors purchase to qualify for the program must be from 2000-01 or 2001-02. The breakdown of how many cards collectors receive per product/wrapper is as follows:

2001-02 Memorabilia Series, Parkhurst, Between the Pipes, and Signature Series - one wrapper per card.
2000-01 Memorabilia Series - two wrappers per card.
