David Wasserman and Tod Mack Join In The Game, Inc.July 19, 1999, TORONTO, ONTARIO; Dr. Brian H. Price, President of In the Game, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointments of David Wasserman as Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Tod Mack as Vice President Production.David Wasserman most recently held the position of Director of Sales at Fleer/SkyBox International where he was responsible for direct hobby sale and consumer relations, a position he held for the past seven years. David's start in the trading card business was in 1988 with Collectors' Marketing in New York City which was purchased by Impel the predecessor company of SkyBox which was subsequently purchased by Fleer. "David brings to In The Game, Inc. a hands on approach to the distribution of product to the hobby" said Price, "with our limited number of releases, he will have the time to work closely with out team of distributors and dealers." "I welcome the opportunity to be working again in a small company where I will have the ability to be more proactive with respect to product design, product configuration and distribution" Wasserman said, "I look forward to getting started with our Be A Player-2000 series." Tod Mack got his start in the trading card industry at The Upper Deck Company where he was an award-winning Product Manager, winning three consecutive Set of Year Awards. For the past two years Tod has worked with Interplay Productions, a publisher and distributor of interactive computer and video games, as Product Manager for such notable products as Baseball 2000, Virtual Pool and Powerboat Racing. Joining the In The Game team is a homecoming of sorts for Tod, he worked on the Be A Player series in 1993-94 at Upper Deck and worked with Dr. Brian Price on the Parkhurst European series in 1995. "I am extremely excited to be back in the trading card industry" said Mack, "I believe Be A Player is a very unique and collectable product and I look forward to getting started on this year's product." Plans for the 1999-2000 edition of Be A Player hockey trading cards will be announced later this week at the 20th Annual National Sports Collectors Convention in Atlanta.
