In The Game Announces Extensive Redemption Program and New "Super Box" For The 2003 Toronto Fall ExpoSuper Box is now only available from selected dealers at the Fall Expo, Toronto, Ontario.SHOW SPECIAL: Collectors who bring an In The Game-Action Factory Set box to the In The Game booth with the shrink wrap still intact and open the Factory Set at our booth will be able to redeem the box for a 1/1 game-used memorabilia card from the ITG-Action Set. (Toronto, ON; September 14, 2003): In The Game, Inc., the manufacturer of In The Game, Be A Player, and Parkhurst brands of hockey cards, is once again pulling out all the stops for the company's Show Redemption Program at the upcoming 2003 Toronto Sports Card and Memorabilia Expo taking place November 14-16 at the International Centre. The lineup of redemption cards available to attendees includes special foil-stamped versions of base cards from 2003-04 In The Game-Action, as well as a variety of base sets from the 2002-03 season, all sequentially numbered to just 10 cards. In addition, various "one-of-one" versions of select cards will be mixed in. Collectors will also have the option of acquiring special one-of-one game-used memorabilia cards. In The Game's booth is consistently the most popular location at any show because collectors have enthusiastically embraced our various redemption card offers. The premise of the program is simple. Collectors who purchase specific In The Game, Be A Player, and Parkhurst products at the show can open their packs and boxes at the In The Game booth. In exchange for the wrappers and boxes, they will receive these unique and highly collectible foil-stamped cards. This year, there is a new twist. For the first time ever, In The Game will also create a special product specifically for a show. Entitled the In The Game "Super Box", each will contain a variety of In The Game packs from various products. This will allow collectors to not only sample different In The Game brands, but they can open the product at the In The Game booth and use the wrappers to participate in the Show Redemption Program. Hopefully, this will motivate new collectors to buy boxes at the show. There will also be a number of other surprises including memorabilia cards, autographed cards and special inserts available exclusively in these boxes. This marks the first time a trading card manufacturer has created such an extensive package specifically for a show. "I have to say our Show Redemption Program has emerged as the envy of all the other card manufacturers," says In The Game's President, Dr. Brian H. Price. "What originally began as a simple concept has blossomed into something special for collectors. We are constantly working on improving our promotional efforts at shows, however, and staying one step ahead of everyone else. That's why we have decided to add this new Super Box and take our program to a new level here in our home town." Once again, a popular feature of In The Game's program will be the wide selection of game-used memorabilia cards, each of which will be foil-stamped with the 2003 Fall Expo show logo and numbered "1/1". More than 700 different one-of-one memorabilia cards will be created for this show. They are special versions of game-used memorabilia inserts found in 2003-04 In The Game-Action, 2002-03 Signature Series, 2002-03 Parkhurst Retro, and 2002-03 Between the Pipes. All of the game's biggest names will be available including Mario Lemieux, Patrick Roy, and Steve Yzerman. To qualify for a one-of-one memorabilia card, collectors must open any combination of two factory-sealed boxes of 2003-04 In The Game-Action, 2002-03 Signature Series, Parkhurst Retro, Between the Pipes, Parkhurst, or Memorabilia Series. They will also receive a one-of-one memorabilia card by opening one box of 2002-03 In The Game-Used, or two one-of-one cards for opening a box of 2002-03 Ultimate Memorabilia 3rd Edition. All boxes must be opened at the same time and all wrappers must be submitted to In The Game personnel. Boxes MUST be shrink wrapped with the BAP logo on the boxes to qualify. The one-of-one memorabilia card offer will extend through all three days of the show. Those receiving one-of-one memorabilia cards will not be eligible for the traditional redemption cards numbered out of 10. The traditional aspect of the redemption program remains as strong as ever. Featuring special foil-stamped cards sequentially numbered to 10 with a number of (non-memorabilia) one-of-ones randomly dispersed among them, collectors are assured of additional value, and plenty of interactive fun when they purchase In The Game, Be A Player and Parkhurst cards. And, they may participate by buying as little as one pack of cards. For the first time ever at a Toronto Expo, all traditional redemption cards will be available on all three days of the show (or while supplies last). The brand of redemption card you receive depends on the brand of cards you open. In The Game-Action will be a featured as a show special. Collectors will receive two In The Game-Action cards from the 600-base card set for every In The Game-Action wrapper submitted. Special one-of-one versions of each of the 76 non-memorabilia inserts from that product will be randomly mixed in. In the case of 2002-03 Signature Series, Parkhurst Retro, Between the Pipes, Parkhurst, and Memorabilia Series, collectors will receive one show redemption card from the base set of the respective brand for each wrapper submitted. Collectors can also use packs and boxes of Ultimate Memorabilia 3rd Edition and In The Game-Used for this program. They will receive ten cards for each Ultimate wrapper and five cards for each In The Game-Used wrapper. Collectors can choose which brand of redemption cards to receive in exchange for these wrappers. Special one-of-one redemption cards will be randomly mixed in with each of these brands as well. Signature Series will include 200 Gold Autographed cards. Parkhurst Retro will incorporate 300 different Parkie Reprint inserts originally found in 2002-03 and 2001-02 Parkhurst. Between the Pipes will utilize a special Gold version of the first 110 cards in the base set plus 30 cards from The Mask insert set. Parkhurst will include one-of-one versions of the Gold, Silver, and Bronze parallels from the 250-card base set. And Memorabilia Series will offer one-of-one versions of the Emerald, Sapphire and Ruby parallels from the 300-card base set. To summarize, the following In The Game products will qualify for the traditional show redemption program:
2003-04 In The Game-Action - two cards per wrapper Again, those who receive our traditional redemption cards will not be eligible for the one-of-one memorabilia cards. Other products such as 2002-03 All-Star Edition, 2002-03 First Edition, and all Be A Player and Parkhurst products released prior to 2002-03 will not be eligible for this promotion.
The Super Box Each Super Box will contain four packs of cards from each of the following In The Game brands: 2003-04 In The Game-Action; 2002-03 Signature Series; 2002-03 Parkhurst Retro; 2002-03 Between the Pipes; 2002-03 Parkhurst; 2002-03 Memorabilia Series. Not only will this provide great value for collectors, it is all designed to demonstrate that we make the best hockey cards in the world."
