(Toronto, ON; April 22, 2003): In The Game, Inc., the manufacturer of Be A Player and Parkhurst brands of hockey cards, is in the midst of preparations for the Toronto Sportcard Spring Expo at the International Centre from April 25 to 27. In addition to the impressive array of redemption cards they will be presenting at the event, the staff is ready to offer collectors something elseŠ the shirts off their backs!

Many hobbyists are familiar with the fact that at every show they participate in, the staff at the In The Game booth is always decked out in fabulous-looking hockey jerseys. The 2003 Toronto Spring Expo is no exception.

Except this time, those jerseys will not be coming back to the office. All those who attend the Spring Expo will have an opportunity to fill in a ballot to win one of those jerseys! On Sunday afternoon, a draw will be conducted, and the staff will literally take the shirts off their backs and present them to six different winners on the spot. Winners who are not present will be contacted and have their prizes shipped directly.

There will be six different jerseys available, one from each Canadian-based NHL team. Best of all, every jersey has been autographed by a prominent member of that team. These jerseys have been provided by Be A Player Authentix and come with a Certificate of Authenticity, the best Certificate of Authenticity possible, from the players themselves.

The list of autographed jerseys (with the player who signed in brackets) is as follows: Montréal Canadiens (Saku Koivu); Ottawa Senators (Marian Hossa); Toronto Maple Leafs (Gary Roberts); Calgary Flames (Jarome Iginla); Edmonton Oilers (Mike Comrie); and Vancouver Canucks (Markus Naslund).

"There isn't a show that takes place where we don't receive a number of offers from collectors who literally want to purchase these jerseys right off our backs," says Dr. Brian H. Price, President of In The Game. "That is what inspired the idea for this promotion. And, there isn't a better time and place to do this than at the biggest hockey collectibles show in the world in the midst of the playoffs."

The draw will be conducted at the In The Game booth at 2 pm on Sunday, April 27.

In The Game will also be conducting an impressive show redemption program at the Spring Expo. Collectors who purchase specific Be A Player and Parkhurst products at the show can open their packs and boxes at the In The Game booth. In exchange for the wrappers and boxes, they will receive these unique and highly collectible foil-stamped cards.

The lineup for the show includes special foil-stamped versions of Parkhurst, Between the Pipes, In the Game-Used and Parkhurst Retro base cards sequentially numbered to 10. Additional various parallel one-of-one versions will be mixed in. Collectors can also acquire special one-of-one game-used memorabilia cards, as well as special Toronto Maple Leaf cards created exclusively for this show.
