In The Game adds a new twist to their show redemption program for the Chicago SportsFest!

(Toronto, ON; May 28, 2003): In The Game, Inc., the manufacturer of Be A Player and Parkhurst brands of hockey cards, is pleased to announce its participation at the Chicago SportsFest taking place at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center June 27-29.

The company will present another version of their always-popular show redemption program at this event. The premise of the program is simple. Collectors who purchase specific Be A Player and Parkhurst products at the show can open their packs and boxes at the In The Game booth. In exchange for the wrappers and boxes, they will receive unique and highly collectible foil-stamped cards.

There will be a variety of special foil-stamped cards sequentially-numbered to 10 with one-of-one variations mixed in. Collectors will also have the option of receiving a one-of-one game-used memorabilia card. And, there will be an extra premium for those who open boxes of 2002-03 Be A Player Signature Series. Details on that premium are provided below.

In The Game has now added a new twist to their show redemption concept specifically for SportsFest. Usually, different redemption cards are available on each day of the show. This time, however, all redemption cards will be available on all three days of the show, or until supplies are exhausted. The redemption cards a collector receives will depend on which brand of cards they open.

Eligible products include 2002-03 Be A Player Signature Series, 2002-03 Parkhurst Retro, 2002-03 Between the Pipes, and 2002-03 Parkhurst. In exchange for the wrappers, collectors will receive redemption cards that correspond to each particular brand. In the case of 2002-03 Ultimate Memorabilia 3rd Edition, 2002-03 In The Game-Used, and 2001-02 Be A Player Signature Series collectors will receive their brand of choice. No other brands of In The Game products are eligible for the program.

"Our show redemption programs have really made a mark on the hobby," says In The Game's President, Dr. Brian H. Price. "The level of awareness is higher than ever and we expect a strong response at SportsFest. Having all cards available on all three days is something new we are trying, and it's in response to what collectors have asked for. In the past, they may not have received the redemption cards they preferred because they were not able to attend the show on the day they were offered. This twist provides more options."

Collectors who open packs of 2002-03 Signature Series will receive a random selection of foil-stamped cards from the 200-card Signature Series base set as well as the 100-card NHL Golf insert set. They will receive two cards per wrapper. All are sequentially numbered to 10. As mentioned, there will also be a premium for each sealed box of Signature Series opened. It consists of a special 100-point card from the Signature Series He Shoots, He Scores Program. These points can be accumulated and used to earn unique autographed memorabilia including autographed photos and jerseys. Note - there is a limit of one 100-point card that can be used per item.

In exchange for Parkhurst Retro wrappers, collectors will receive foil-stamped cards sequentially numbered to 10 from the 250-card Retro base set. They will receive one card per wrapper.

For 2002-03 Between the Pipes, wrappers can be exchanged for foil-stamped cards (sequentially-numbered to 10) from the 150-card Between the Pipes base set. Special one-of-one Silver and Gold versions of the first 110 cards in the set will be randomly mixed in. Also in the mix are foil-stamped "Mask II" insert cards sequentially numbered to 10. They will receive one card per wrapper.

For 2002-03 Parkhurst wrappers, collectors will get foil-stamped cards (sequentially numbered to 10) from the 250-card base set. There will also be special one-of-one Bronze, Silver, and Gold versions of the base set randomly mixed in. They will receive one card per wrapper.

As mentioned, collectors of 2002-03 Ultimate Memorabilia 3rd Edition will have the option of choosing which brand of redemption cards they prefer. They will receive 10 cards per wrapper. Those who open packs of In The Game-Used will have a similar choice. They will receive five cards per wrapper. And those who open packs of 2001-02 Be A Player Signature Series will have a similar choice. They will receive one card per wrapper.

Of course, the other major highlight of In The Game's SportsFest redemption program will be the wide selection of game-used memorabilia cards. Each will be foil-stamped with the SportsFest logo and numbered "1/1". More than 400 different one-of-one memorabilia cards will be specially created for this show. They are variations of game-used memorabilia inserts found in 2002-03 Signature Series and Parkhurst Retro. All of the game's biggest names will be available including Mario Lemieux, Patrick Roy, Jean-Sebastien Giguere, Maurice Richard, Bobby Hull, and Stan Mikita.

To qualify for a one-of-one memorabilia card, collectors must open any combination of two factory-sealed boxes of 2002-03 Parkhurst Retro, Between the Pipes, Parkhurst, or Signature Series. They will also receive a one-of-one memorabilia card for opening three boxes of 2001-02 Be A Player Signature Series, one box of 2002-03 In The Game-Used, or two one-of-one memorabilia cards for opening a box of Ultimate Memorabilia 3rd Edition. All boxes must be opened at the same time and all wrappers must be submitted to In The Game personnel. Boxes MUST be shrink wrapped with the BAP logo on the boxes to qualify.

The one-of-one memorabilia card offer also extends through all three days of the show. Those receiving one-of-one memorabilia cards will not be eligible for the traditional redemption cards numbered out of 10.

Again, those who receive our traditional redemption cards will not be eligible for the one-of-one memorabilia cards. In The Game products such as 2002-03 All-Star Edition, Memorabilia Series and First Edition, as well as all brands issued prior to 2002-03 (2001-02 Signature Series excepted) will not be eligible for this promotion.

"SportsFest was a successful show for us last year and we are happy to return," says Price. "Chicago has such a strong hockey heritage and continues to be a key hobby market. Collectors in that area are certainly worthy of a high-caliber show redemption program and I know ours will deliver."

Any part of this Redemption Program is subject to change prior to the 2003 SportsFest.
