Minor Delay Does Not Affect Original Six Popularity
Despite the delay, we are more than pleased to announce that each of the first three editions of Original Six have now sold out. The Detroit version sold out several days before its official release date of January 15. The Chicago version dried up just days after its' release on January 29. And now, the Toronto version of the brand has sold out well in advance of its release date. "I have to admit that collector's response to the Original Six lineup has been very rewarding," said In The Game president Dr. Brian H. Price. "This is a product we put an unbelievable amount of work into and despite some delays along the way, we always had confidence in the concept. It's nice to see we were on the right path all along." The series of sell-outs bodes well for the remaining three editions of Original Six. The Boston version is slated for release on February 26 and demand is expected to be extremely high given the inclusion of memorabilia cards and autograph cards featuring Bobby Orr and Raymond Bourque. The New York Ranger version will hit the streets March 11 while the Montréal Canadiens edition goes live on March 25. Both are expected to garner substantial interest and the possibility of a six-time sell-out is becoming very real. Each version of Original Six offers a 100-card base set highlighting current and retired players from a specific team. Every box of 24 packs includes one game-used memorabilia insert in addition to various non-memorabilia inserts. Several different autograph cards are also available.
