Draft Redemption Program Details
The following information was issued in a Press Release from the NHLPA and NHL on 10/17/05.The National Hockey League Players' Association (NHLPA) and NHL Enterprises (NHLE) are pleased to announce that arrangements have now been made with The Upper Deck Company to accommodate all outstanding and future redemptions under the In The Game Draft Redemption Program.
Under the terms of the arrangement, The Upper Deck Company will now manufacture the cards using the original In The Game card design. The cards will be delivered by Upper Deck to the NHLPA offices in Toronto where they will be then be sent to collectors as they are redeemed. Once the player's card expires under the terms of the original program the number of cards redeemed will be released to the public.
Collectors can send their redemption cards along with the funds required for shipping and handling ($4.95 US) to:
Draft Redemption Card Program
National Hockey League Players' Association
777 Bay St., #2400
Toronto, Ontario
M5G 2C8
All of the cards that have already been sent to In The Game will be delivered to the NHLPA for redemption.
Dear Collectors:
I am certainly pleased that a resolution to this situation has finally been found. It bothers me that the Press Release issued talks about the NHLPA and NHLE being please to announce this resolution and In The Game was purposely left out of the Press Release.
The resolution came about due to In The Game's insistence and perseverance without which this issue would have been left unresolved.
We would like to thank The Upper Deck Company for their co-operation in this matter. Collectors should understand that In The Game could not make these cards due to our licensing situation and that this is the best possible resolution to the problem.
We are passing the artwork to Upper Deck and hope the cards that are currently eligible to be redeemed are produced in the very near future.
Collectors should not be playing "taps" for In The Game. We are still producing collectible hockey trading cards. We look forward to the release of our 2005-06 Heroes and Prospects.
Thank you again to all of our collectors, dealers and distributors for their support during these trying times.

Q & A about the Draft Redemption Program Changes
Where should I send my redemption cards?
Send your cards to:
Draft Redemption Card Program
National Hockey League Players' Association
777 Bay St., #2400
Toronto, Ontario
M5G 2C8
Do not send your cards to In The Game.
Should I still enclose the $4.95 US for shipping and handling?
Yes, $4.95 US must be sent with each card to be redeemed. Checks should be made out to: National Hockey League Players' Association and not to In The Game.
Will In The Game continue to post the eligible cards on their website?
Yes, as long as there is no objection to doing so, we will continue to update our site so that collectors can determine which cards are eligible and which cards have expired.
How can I contact the NHLPA about the program?
Send an email to draftcards@nhlpa.com with your questions.
