Now Is The Time To Order The 2004-05 Heroes & Prospects Update Set(Toronto, ON; January 11, 2005): In The Game, Inc., manufacturers of 'In The Game' and the 'Parkhurst' brands of hockey cards, is in the process of putting the final touches on their 2004-05 Heroes & Prospects Update set.This set will be extremely limited. Each will include 50 additional players numbered 181-230 and will serve as an extension to the initial Heroes & Prospects base set. The 50-player checklist has now been finalized and is posted below. The checklist includes another card of junior hockey sensation Sidney Crosby as well as the MVP and gold medallist from the recent World Junior Championships, Patrice Bergeron. "This Update set gives us the opportunity to include more of the best prospects from both the CHL and the AHL," says In The Game President Dr. Brian Price. "Many of these players are in their first year in their respective leagues and we were unable to include them in the original set. Now that they have played, we got them!" Of special note is the fact 19 of the 22 members of Team Canada that just won the Gold Medal at the 2004-05 World Junior Championships now have base cards in the 230-card Heroes & Prospects set. In addition, each Update Set will include either one game-used memorabilia card or one Autograph card. Many of the biggest names in each league will be available in an Autograph or memorabilia-card including Sidney Crosby, Alexander Ovechkin, Patrice Bergeron, Stephen Weiss, and Robbie Schremp. The cost of the Update Set is $39.95 (U.S. funds) or $47.50 in Canadian funds including shipping and handling; however you can receive a $5 discount by simply sending either five Hobby version wrappers or 10 Arena version wrappers along with your order by mail. Sets are available online through the company web site at www.itgtradingcards.com. In The Game, Inc. has produced Be A Player, In The Game and Parkhurst brands of hockey trading cards since 1998-99. The company issued six different hockey card products in 2003-04 and is planning several more releases in 2004-05. The initial Heroes & Prospects set was released in November 2004. In The Game NHL Franchises will be issued in three phases beginning with a Canadian Edition on February 24. The Ultimate Memorabilia 5th Edition is scheduled for release on May 5, 2005.
