The Ultimate, Ultimate Is Sold Out

Because of the radical decrease in production (10,000 packs vs. 25,000 packs), this product was allocated based on each direct dealer and distributor's purchases of products released this year. The results for Ultimate Memorabilia 5th Edition were phenomenal, not only did every account take their allocation, but many were put on a waiting list for more product. Unfortunately, there was no product available for those on the waiting list.

The tentative release date remains May 31st; however, that is based on the return of all autographed cards from our players. It is our policy to have NO REDEMPTIONS. Currently we have commitments from our players to have all of their cards to us on time to be slabbed at Beckett and then inserted into the product, so that we can make our published release date.

"With the confusion created in the marketplace over the use of the name Ultimate by our competitor and the cancellation of our current player license by the NHLPA, we are overwhelmed by the response to this year's Ultimate" said Dr. Brian H. Price, President, In The Game Inc. "we decreased production by 60% and although it necessitated a price increase, I personally want to thank all of the collectors, dealers and distributors who are supporting this product. The Ultimate is the jewel in our crown and we have always been most proud of this brand. By the definition of the word -ultimate- there can only be one and it's made by In The Game."

"I would also like to take this opportunity to thank David Wasserman, the head of our Sales Department. David had the unenviable task of allocating this product. Although he might not have made many friends, he was very fair in doing the allocation" Price added.

There will be three cards in every pack of Ultimate Memorabilia 5th Edition. One card will be an Ultimate Memorabilia Insert Card, one card will be an Ultimate Autograph Card and one card will be either an Ultimate Base Card or an Ultimate Archive Card.

None of the Ultimate Memorabilia Cards will have more than 25 copies inserted and many will have much less.

So that there can be no mistake, there has been much discussion surrounding the release date for this product. We are still working with a May 31st release date; however, honoring this date will depend on a number of players returning their cards to us this week. The Ultimate Memorabilia 5th Edition will have NO redemptions. Once the autographed cards have been received, they must still be sent to Beckett Grading Services to be slabbed.
