New for 2002-03, In the Game is proud to introduce the All-Star Edition, the first-ever brand of hockey cards devoted entirely to the annual NHL All-Star Game.One of the main attractions of the All-Star Edition is the inclusion of one Bobblehead in every box. You may have seen hockey bobbleheads before but none quite like this! The All-Star Edition presents colorful Bobbleheads with character and personality. The player likenesses are outstanding and each is depicted in a dynamic action pose. They are truly unique because for the first time, the players are depicted in their All-Star uniforms. There will be 10 different bobbleheads to collect in all.
The All-Star Edition base set consists of 150 cards featuring a gorgeous
presentation created by our All-Star designers. The first 100 cards
highlight all the greatest active NHL stars who have performed at the
annual All-Star Game. Then there is a 50-card subset guaranteed to bring
you out of your seats. Entitled Future All-Stars, these consist
primarily of rookie cards and will be printed using the fabled Dufex
technology. The Future All-Stars subset is not only devoted to the NHL's
brightest young prospects, it also emphasizes collectability. Each of
the 50 cards will be sequentially numbered to a mere 100. There will also
be a Silver parallel version numbered to 20, and a Gold one-of-one
parallel.
And let's not forget a terrific lineup of memorabilia cards. The
All-Star Edition offers a 100-card series of game-worn jersey cards. Not
just any game-worn jersey cards, mind you, but cards with pieces of
game-worn All-Star jerseys! You won't find anything like these anywhere
else but at In the Game. The caliber of players found in this set is
unbeatable. To top things off, collectors will also find scarce Silver
and Gold parallel versions of this set. One memorabilia card will be
found in every box.
As is the norm at In the Game, each pack of the All-Star Edition will
contain a He Shoots, He Scores decoy/redemption points card or a
memorabilia card. The decoy cards are designed to prevent pack
searching. Collect enough points and you can redeem them for a rare
double-jersey card numbered to 20. That's right, each of these gems will
feature two pieces of All-Star Game-worn jerseys instead of the
traditional single piece.
