2004-05 In The Game NHL Franchises Update Set

In The Game, Inc. is pleased to offer our collectors the 2004-05 NHL Franchises Update Set. This set will include 50 cards numbered 451-500 to complete your NHL Franchises set. In addition to these new base cards, each set will contain either a game-used memorabilia or an autograph card. Some collectors will find both a game-used memorabilia and an autograph card in random sets.

The checklist for this product includes all-new cards featuring some of the greatest players in NHL history, including two cards depicting Hockey Hall of Famer Dave Keon. Featured in this set as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Hartford Whalers, Keon's appearances in trading card releases since his retirement have been rare and In The Game is proud to include him in the NHL Franchises Update Set.

Other cards of note in the NHL Franchises Update Set include other prominent players featured on cards with teams that collectors do not normally get the opportunity to collect. For example, Billy Smith has a card as a member of the Los Angeles Kings, Darryl Sittler is shown with the Philadelphia Flyers and Tony Esposito can be seen during his short stint with the Montréal Canadiens!

For the first time, Mr. Keon will be featured on a game-used memorabilia card. In The Game has included him in the popular Original Sticks, Trophy Winners and Teammates (with Red Kelly) collections that were a part of the previous releases of NHL Franchises. Mr. Keon also signed two different Autograph cards in addition to the Autographed Game-Used Memorabilia version of the Original Sticks card.

The collection of memorabilia cards offered in the NHL Franchises Update Set adds on to the assortment offered in the Canadian, U.S. East and U.S. West Editions of NHL Franchises. Many top players are featured in sets that include Game-Used Memorabilia, Double Memorabilia, Original Sticks, Trophy Winners, Goalie Gear, Complete Jersey and Teammates.

In The Game has also added Linemates to the mix and these five combinations feature three top names on each card along with a piece of each players' game-used memorabilia. Each card is limited to 10 copies for the Silver version and the Gold version is numbered one-of-one!

Considering the impact that NHL Franchises has had with collectors this year, the NHL Franchises Update Set is a fitting conclusion to a virtual lesson in the history of NHL hockey.
