2005-06 In The Game Heroes & Prospects: Series 2 Entry Draft Contest "First Round Knockout"
First Round Knockout Promotion Winner Announced! Click Here!
Many of the players in our Heroes and Prospects product will hear their name called on draft day. In The Game has decided to offer collectors an opportunity to show off their scouting abilities and predict which players will be selected in the First Round Knockout! Contest. The more picks you can accurately predict, the closer you come to knocking out your competition!
Collectors that open a Hobby or Arena box of Heroes and Prospects Series 2 will be able to remove the box top and write the names of 30 young players they believe will be chosen in the first round of the 2006 Entry Draft on June 24. The order of selection will not be a factor in this contest and if more than one collector names the most players, the tie will be broken by a random draw. You are not restricted in your player selection. Your list can also include players that are not featured in Heroes and Prospects releases. Choose your best 30.
The prize for this contest is remarkable - a sealed box of Ultimate Memorabilia 6th Edition! With some of the most limited and exciting hockey cards this season, Ultimate is sure to be sold-out prior to release.
Along with your predictions, you will need to include your name, address and telephone number along with your e-mail address (if possible). No facsimile box tops from Heroes and Prospects Series 2 will be accepted for this contest. All entries must be postmarked by Wednesday, June 21, 2006 and be sent to the following address:

First Round Knockout Promotion Winner Announced
June 24, 2006, what an exciting day for hundreds of young hockey
prospects. What an exciting day for In The Game who will feature many of
these players in their upcoming 2006-07 Heroes and Prospects. Draft day
was also exciting for Chiron Otero of New London, CT. Chiron is the
winner of the First Round Knockout Promotion. To enter, you had to write
the names of 30 players who would be drafted in the first round on the
back of a box top from Heroes and Prospects Series Two. The collector
who had the most players on their list of 30 who were drafted in the
first round would be the winner. Fooled by only Nigel Williams, Mike
Forney, Ondrej Fiala, Yuri Alexandrov and Cory Emmerton, Chiron had 25
of 30 correct choices and narrowly won the promotion. Chiron is the
winner of the sealed box of Ultimate Memorabilia 6th Edition. Perhaps
General Managers should take note. "Most collectors sending in their
entries managed to name a good number of the players that were first
rounders," said In The Game's President, Dr. Brian H. Price. "The people
entering this contest appear to be knowledgeable in many areas of the
game and I would like to congratulate Chiron on having astute scouting
abilities." Many of the players selected in the first round are
scheduled to appear in the upcoming 2006-07 In The Game Heroes and
Prospects release slated for later this year. In The Game would also
like to congratulate the young stars who were selected in the 2006 Entry
Draft and look forward to their presence in our upcoming releases.
